Donate to Warehouse Church on Lincoln and Galena. They have a clothes Closet that they open up weekly to the community. They do not charge for the clothing. Many of the area's disadvantaged go there.

Money IS the best thing to give. I am active with Aurora's Emergency Management Agency. I took a class from people who are deployed to disasters and need to try to deal with the TONS of goods that are donated. The goods that are sent are often considered the "disaster within a disaster". There are buildings filled with water delivered at previous disasters. Someone there has to try to deal with all this stuff. There aren't enough people to sort these things, or, in a lot of cases, the room in a building to house all of it. There are pictures of the enormous amount of stuff delivered that can't sorted and used. There are pictures of winter coats being sent to hot areas, high heeled shoes, party dresses, etc. Money IS the best to send so the things that are truly needed can be purchased.
