I have several properties, and I can honestly say, Franzen Heating and Cooling in Aurora is excellent! Plus, they have their own sheet metal shop to make repairs as needed and are very affordable and they also offer financing. 630-859-2164Tony Franzen
Steve K. replied:
Just curious........if your furnace is not shutting off, it sounds like a Thermostat problem, or the batteries need to be replaced. Perhaps you should check that first, as a new Thermostat at Home Depot is $20, and very simple to install.

Steve K. replied:
Yes, this could be very dangerous! It perhaps may be a limit switch, if so, they cost about $25 and take less than 1 hour to install. However, a few times I have had Service Techs try and charge $300 to $500 to repair, and some even suggested that I should replace the furnace for a newer updated model.....HOG WASH, if that happens, call another tech! Also, they may try and sell you a new control board for several hundred dollars. In the event it's a control board, they can be purchased for about a $100-$200, and take no longer than 1 hour to install. With all being said, it is best to find a good HVAC person with a God Given Conscience!
