I'm also a dr Maytee fan at Ari. Speaks fluent English and God forbid if your baby needs the procedure that none of us ever want to do, he is one of very few vets in Thailand who will do it. He believes in quality of life. Chula good hospital but will NOT do the inevitable if u have to. Dr Maytee would call me and give me updates on my very sick cat (who miraculously pulled thru thanks to him)

Dr. Noon at Suk Vets 51....as Amy said, good work for a reasonable price. She's done a lot of surgeries for me/us and it's always perfect. They will keep a female dog for 1 week after surgery, a male dog for 3-4 days.
Heather B. replied:
Just a heads up: while I love Thonglor Pet for their thorough service, when it comes to surgery their prices are insane. While chipping a dog to have it registered is only 800 baht, they wanted 7,000 baht to watch as my dog gave birth to a set of puppies. After we (kindly declined) asked how much to have both of ours fixed....8,000 for the male and upwards of 10,000 for the female. We ended up having our male fixed at our local clinic for about 3,000 all in, including a 3 day stay there so they would watch him, which we opted for ourselves but isnt necessary. If you have money to throw around then by all means go to Thonglor. But if you're looking for a more economical option, grab a local friend and check out the smaller places. (Ps my dogs always come back with ticks from Thonglor....)

Paul K. replied:

Kaset Animal Hospital?
Karen P. replied:
Hi Julia. It depends on what country you are travelling to as to the cost of the testing. This is because some countries accept the thai test and other countries require the blood to be sent offshore for testing. I have just sent my cat to Singapore and the blood work was done here for 9000 baht at Thonglor Pet Hospital on Sukhumvit 55. The vet was very knowledgeable on the requirements. Hope this helps.
Julia B. replied:
Karen Thanks so much for information, it is helpful. We are moving back to Japan and it's very strict there. Thonglor Pet Hospital is it the one between soi 9-11? Because in Thonglor soi 20 they asked for 28,000 baht ^^
Karen P. replied:
I'd say you were quoted for testing the blood offshore. I was originally told that for Singapore but Thonglor said no the 9000 baht test was fine. My baby is now in Singapore with no problems. http://www.thonglorpet.com/index.php?lang=en I recall it's on the left hand side of Suk soi 55 in an alley that has the hospital on one side and grooming on the other.
DS we have a male cat who I think is now "spraying" in the house - can anyone recommend a vet that will carry out the desexing procedure? Please try not to send too...
Ronna S. replied:
This is the site for the vets I use. They've done both a male and female desexing for pet cats, and they've done a couple of rescues for me as well. Very professional and they care a lot about the animals. http://vet-suk49.com/
Amy B. replied:
there is the srinakarin branch of thong lor pet hospital - although that will be pricy i generally recommend สุขุมวิทสัตวแพทย์ ซอย 51| Sukhumvit Veterinarians soi 51 ... the surgeons are very experienced, and if you fast beforehand can do him while you wait, without an overnight stay.
