Check out Dionne Entertainment... They have several DJs and respond quickly to contact. I have a friend that used them for her wedding and I am using them for mine as well

you should probably put a date in there, might help to know. Wedding bands are cheezy. I'd take a couple sets from Jerks of Grass over any wedding band.

Motor Booty Affair, if you aren't looking for anything too serious.

We used The Marsals. They are a 7 piece band with horns based out of Boston. They blew us away and still to this day (over two years) later we still have people telling us it was the best music they've heard at any wedding (and some of them are married)

[Shut Down Brown](http://www.shutdownbrown.us) 7-piece with horns, funk/soul/r&b covers, love to play weddings

The Bob Charest Band is the best wedding band in Maine and they're not cheesy at all. Check them out on [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Bob-Charest-Band/79429264592) or their [website](http://www.bobcharestmusic.com/index.html)

NorthEast Event design. They are two of the best in the state hands down. I actually wish I had known about them when I got married as the only thing that stands out as a negative 10 years later was the guy who DJ'd. I've been to a couple of weddings Northeast has done and they were awesome. They've even won a few awards.
Planning a wedding near Bangor, Maine: I need recommendations for a DJ (reception), live music (ceremony), and florist. Please help? Anything else I'm forgetting? I have...

I wish I could help. I got married a few months ago and couldn't find any of those things and they weren't high priorities for me so I scrapped 'em. Went with a Spotify-fueled reception, muffs instead of bouquets (yay winter), and non-floral centerpieces. Love those ax gifts! Very Maine. Good luck, and congratulations!

I used [Wisteria](http://www.oldtownmeflorist.com/) in Old Town as my florist for my wedding a few years back. They're a pretty small outfit but the customer service was fantastic. Chapel Hill in Bangor is also a solid choice.

My advice, scrap the whole thing, start from scratch, and get married in Paradise. My wife and I did this, we went Belize and have been forever grateful for the decision. It became an event about us, with no pressure. When we returned, we had a lovely reception with all of our friends and loved ones. Many, many people who were already married that we know said they wished they'd taken this route, and that we made the right decision. I wholeheartedly agree. Edit: a

icysuzy replied:
What kind of music are you looking for the band to play? And how much are you willing to spend?
Cix_Forever replied:
I play in a Maine based wedding group - check out www.jciampievents.com. We travel all over the state doing different weddings/functions. Not sure what your price range is but might be worth checking out and getting in touch with the leader (contact info all on site)
