Looking for barber Hey guys,
Looking for a new barber. Used to go to staples but havent gotten a good hair cut the past couple of times. Any recommendations? Thanks

[Andrew Towns](https://barberofcville.com) is fantastic! It's more expensive than Staples and Chung's, but I've been to everyone and Andrew is the best in town by far

Mike at the Cutting Edge is awesome!

More important than *where* you go is *who* you see. Find your person, get their card, and stick to them. That said, check out [these previous twelve threads on the subject](https://old.reddit.com/r/Charlottesville/search?q=haircut&restrict_sr=on&include_over_18=on&sort=relevance&t=all) for more suggestions.

Can’t recommend Chungs enough. Stan and Kenny are simply the best. I moved here in 2007 when they opened and caught them opening day. Haven’t gone anywhere else.
Stutztown replied:
Kenny’s barber, great haircut and service, definitely hidden, online as KS hair studio I think

Barber House Barber Shop out near Target. Those guys work art. Edit: cash only and recommend Ken.

Christians salon off 29 behind the 711 doesn't look like much but it's one of the best cuts I've ever had. Go to since the first cut

Very skilled in men's cuts and beard trimming. Plan on $40+ but I find it worth it. You can stretch it out by getting a touch up after a few weeks, I think that's like $10? https://barberofcville.com/

Andrew Towns has a chair at a salon in Belmont; he's a classically trained barber and a nice dude. Used to get my hair cut wherever until I started going to him: https://barberofcville.com/

I use Cavalier Barbers, on the Mall, across from the library.

Belmont Barber is a no-frills shop right off Meade/E High street. In and out in 10 minutes, $12 cuts, and friendly barbers. If you're not looking for anything fancy, definitely check them out.

We take my three year old son to Andrew Towns, barberofcville.com. He’s a good guy and a father to a young one himself so he’s very good with kids and is very understanding and accommodating.
jlopez7 replied:
Commenting to follow since no one ever gets back to me on if they do kids cuts
gsimd replied:
Cut it yourself until the kid is old enough to care what their hair looks like. My son is 10 and I still cut his hair. He’s happy. It’s bonding time for us, and I’ve probably saved $500 in haircuts.

I’ve been taking my son to David at Chung’s since he was 2 years old. Just David...the other ones are not so great.

I have my cosmetology license, so I usually cut my son’s hair. However, I think Cristian’s salon behind 7-11 (across from iHop) does lovely!

"C'ville's Sharpest" off hydraulic Ridge is by far the best one I've been to in town. Been across the board, hair cuttery, moxie, other small shops, and Alex at Cville's Sharpest is by far the best. He owns the shop. Big guy, and super friendly. Lived here for years, and finally found him. I would absolutely recommend. The price is also extremely competitive, just barely more expensive than a haircuttery.

Where's a good place for something quick and affordable for a guy? I've tried two places since I moved here and both have cost me over 20$ including tip for a haircut for a guy. When I'm used to paying 10-15$ (before tip) having come from a much higher cost of living area
