my SO used to go to a Filipino place called Salon De Manila (375 Cumberland) when he worked downtown. They did an excellent job on cutting men's hair and was only $10 + tip. (not sure if that's still the price) They're a hidden gem, I can't recommend them enough since my SO hair is so stubborn it was hard to find someone who cut it properly.
