We live in Sheffield Lake but we go to Detroit Dover Animal Hospital with our dogs and cat. Also Dr. Fox in Lorain county is very good.

I switched to Avon Lake Animal Clinic from Roberts and Wendt and was happy I changed. We see Dr Krupka and Dr Haddod at ALAC. Also see Dr Huppie at their Up and Running physical therapy facility for my old Doberman gal’s arthritis. I have been very happy at Avon. Wondering which Dr you use and why you are not happy. Need to learn who avoid.

Northview's prices are comparable for the most part & they will work with you if you stick with them. They are 24 hrs which is nice for emergencies. I will also add that I met pet owners there that traveled from California & even Florida which assured me I was at a great Animal Clinic! I am sure there are many other amazing vets as well.

We just love Dr. Feeney at Detroit-Dover Animal Hospital. We have been going to her for years. She is compassionate, kind and helped us so much when our pet was ill. I do not think their office is "inexpensive", but they are polite, helpful and friendly.

I love Pam Bay Village Animal Clinic! We have been going there since the mid 1990's. Pam is a good medical decision maker and very cost effective.

We use Avon Lake Animal clinic for specialized items such as xrays, surgery & chemotherapy. They are a lovely practice there too. And - keep this in your back pocket - they de-skunk!

Dr Joanne Blaha does home visits. She is out of olmsted township but has come to westlake I know for sure. 440-427-0346.

Dr. Doud's in Oberlin will do home visits....It's a bit of a distance but he's a great vet!!

Avon Lake Animal Clinic and Paws by the Lake (that's their boarding/day care). I've used them for years and have boarded all my fur babies there, they do a great job. Highly recommend.

Westlake Animal hospital on Center Ridge. Dr Love and his staff go above and beyond to give your pets excellent care and attention. Numerous times the morning I called w issues they got me in w/ in 1 hour.

Avon Animal on Detroit Rd in Avon. Paws in Avon Lake i didn't like at all, heard too many things about it but took my son's dog there anyway, and wish I listened. Landings Animal Hospital on 83 in avon lake was always good to our other dog but didn't like the boarding. Didn't like detroit dover, but I really liked Avon Animal on detroit rd in avon. Detroit and 611. The most caring and loving people there.. very down to earth!

I know this is a repeat post, but Dr. Feeney at Detroit Dover is just wonderful. Dr. Cunningham also (but we think they are all great!). Very compassionate, kind, and truly caring.

We also have gone to Center West Animal Hospital on Center Ridge in Westlake to Dr. Hunt and Dr. Manubay. They are great and the whole staff is wonderful to work with.

We were happy with the docs themselves, but switched from Detroit Dover to Avon Lake Animal Clinic after we had an emergency with our dog on a holiday and they didn't provide a doc on call. Their phone message referred us to an emergency place out by the airport and we didn't make it in time. Heartbreaking and a horrible memory every Thanksgiving. Something to ask or consider when you are choosing. It was a long time ago, so may have that covered now, but I would ask... you never think it will happen, but it can.

We chose Center West and see Dr. Manubay after we got a great dane mix from a rescue shelter. In the past we used Avon Lake Animal Clinic (Also Excellent but we had a cat) but I wanted something closer. Of course our new family member needed an expensive surgery to have a growth removed from his leg. We had to make 3 -4 additional trips back due to the dog ripping out his stitches and they did not charge me for the extra visits. Just an extra cone after he ate the first one. I thought the customer service was exceptional because my gentle giant was really giving the whole healing process a challenge. Take that information for what it is worth.

We have gone to both Dr. Manubay and Dr. Hunt at Center West for 8 years and we think they both are excellent. They are on Center Ridge in Westlake.

I am a dog vet crazy person. I love Dr. Cunningham at Detroit Dover. However, when he is not in I find Dr. Feeney to be the next best. And they make a great team. The surgeon at Detroit Dover is Dr. Snavely and he is awesome as well. It is more money but very good. I have been taking y dogs there since the 1970's.

I second Lakewood Animal Hospital. All of the staff are great and very knowledgeable and caring. We have 3 very large dogs, and they are wonderful with them. The rescue I am a part of uses them as well.

Detroit Dover Animal Hospital has always been excellent with my family's pets. I'm 56 and I remember using them back when I was in kindergarten!

You can also go into Westlake Animal Hospital right across from Porter Library, and there is a large scale built into the floor right at the front desk when you enter the building. They are very nice and I am sure they wouldn't mind at all.
