My son goes to Dr. Ahmed in Baytown. We usually see the PA for his med refills every 3 months. Mike is the PA I always prefer to see, he's great. My son has improved so much since we started going to the Psyclinic. No complaints.
Andi P. replied:
I do not at all recommend Dr. Ahmed or Dr. Azhar. We had terrible experiences with both of them. I don't recommend Texas Children's Psychiatry either. I was very disappointed by all of them. You will only see Ahmed on your initial visit. Thereafter, you'll see one of his PA's and usually not the same one. If you want to sit inside a raunchy waiting room for 2 hrs at every appt because your doctor is that far behind, go to Dr. Azhar. If you want your child to be over - medicated or if you don't want a clear line of communication with your doctor, go to Texas Childrens. It took us 6 yrs to find the right psychiatrist for my son. One who actually cared to look deeper into his genetic makeup and have evaluations of all kinds that we were never offered before. One who isn't a pill pusher working for the pharmaceutical companies. I love our dr. I drive from Beach city to Cypress to see her but the trips are 100% worth it. We have made more progress with our new doctor in the past 5 months than we have in the past 5 years. If you would be interested in her information, I would be glad to share with you. My son is still on medication, but now he is on the correct medication. I almost lost my hope and faith in everything. She is a life-changing blessing to us. I am not here to argue with anyone. Some people are fine with these doctors in Baytown. Good for them. To each their own. This is just my opinion based up on my horrifying experiences with them. Nobody should have to go through what we went through with some of these doctors. I wish I had a place like this to go 6 years ago and ask for opinions and recommendations. Maybe our journey wouldn't have been so devastating to our family.

Legacy Clinic in Montrose (Houston) is really good and better than the one in Baytown.
Resident Question: Wondering if you have any information for a good family therapist or child psychiatrist in the area?
Kaley S. replied:
Kim Rawlinson, LPC at West Chambers Medical Center on Eagle Drive. 281.576.0670
Amanda B. replied:
We use Dr. Michael Berno at legacy clinic in Baytown. And he was wonderful with my son. My son enjoyed speaking with him. If u would like the number to legacy u are more than welcome to message me and I'll send u back the number.
Can anyone recommend a good psychiatrist for adults in Baytown or nearby? I'm not really a fan of Dr. Azhar or Ahmed and we're sick of Legacy so they're a no go as well.
