The Thai restaurant in what was formerly the White Swan pub on the river is excellent. My brother-in-law is a chef and on a recent visit, he enjoyed the whole experience. Lovely atmosphere & haven't ever had a bad meal there. Just a couple of miles away at the Green Man in Clophill is an excellent fine dining Italian restaurant. I normally think of Italian as Pizza and Pasta but this is very different. We visited recently as a party of four. We all ordered something different for each course and not one of us were disappointed. Food, service and ambiance are excellent and if you are so inclined you can order a £2000 bottle of port. It looks and feels amazing over the Christmas period. You will need to book but you can ask to be put on the cancellation list and they will contact you if space becomes available.

We have used Acorn House for 27 years. Fabulous staff and treatment.

Def Acorn. If your pet needs to stay in overnight there is someone on site all night.

Acorn House. Be aware when choosing that not all vets do their own out of hours service any more so you could end up travelling a fair way in an emergency. I know that Acorn and Scotts both do.

Companion care at the retail park. They were amazing with my poorly cat, had to take him nearly every week for 10 months and they were so considerate for his needs, and they were always full of advice when I rang for help

I have found that Scott's are quite keen to re-do "inconclusive" tests and sell you things "just in case". I cannot fault their care though. Been really impressed with the care and attention my clan have received from Acorn House. Wouldn't go anywhere ekse now.

Acorn vets very good with cats. I wouldnt take them anywere else. Now that I dont drive they do house visit for our two cats.

Scott vets. Used them for many years with outstanding care of my rabbit and cats.

Scott vets do most of our Cats Protection work. Also recommend Acorn House as I use them for my own cats. Both provide their own out of hours service which is an important consideration.

Elizabeth Smiths in biggleswade is a brilliant vets.

I have to be honest I've no idea, but a friend of mine works there. I go to Valley vets in Stevenage as they are so good to me, rarely charge me for a consultation and my dogs love them. But if I was going in Bedford is go to Acorn. Xx

Strongly recommend Acorn House, just off Brickhill Drive. They have a separate cat waiting area, and a separate cat overnight stay place. They are all just lovely as well!

I have found the best vets by far to be Deepdale Vets. They are based in Potton though. I still take my pets there as they’re very caring and knowledgable. My sister took her cat to various vets around Bedford that couldn’t get to the problem that her cat had, one trip to Deepdale and they diagnosed her immediately

Vets4 pets we’re great a few years back, head vet very attentive to both our cat and us. Wasn’t a fan of acorn, felt much more like visiting a supermarket...

Can't speak for border collies specifically, but Scott Veterinary Clinic on Goldington Road have always done an amazing job of looking after our dogs and cat and I can't recommend them enough.

Acorn House vets are second to none. Wouldn't trust anyone else with my dogs!
