If you can find someone that has experience with the LGDs it would be your best bet...they don't think like typical dogs. You might talk to Gretchen Schumacher of Packworks (Arlington) she has re-homed many LGDs that didn't work out as pets (not saying yours won't...but that she has the experience working with/training them) http://www.packworks.org/

Hi Patricia, thanks for reaching out. Pet Partners registers handlers and their pets to visit facilities to preform animal assisted therapy. It sounds like what your daughter needs is a service animal. If this is the case, our best resource is ADI; www.assistancedogsinternational.org. Another good resource would be reaching out to dog trainers in your community who may know someone who is service animal certified to train dogs for your daughters specific needs. Please let us know if you have further questions!
