Mark thanks, Tedelex was an Superstar 3900. so that one is resolved. The Major MSB 6205 is an AM/SSB set. on the back therers a TP-S30-HB number and ive located a number on the front PTBM048AOX

Ok Mark, i found it as an Colt 483Dx Black shadow and something as an Cybernet, the circuit diagram is very similar to a Ge type radio. Yes its using a PLL02A.. unfortunately the manual is in Epanol, and ive got no intentions to study it just to fix a radio. many thanks again, if yove got some interesting mods or linear amp circuits ill be glad if you can share it with me. deon@cobraweb.co.za. is it possible to modify a radio to switch between 27 and 29 mhz on AM
