What we did was to use a website for our wedding registry (we used zankyou, but there are others) and asked people to help pay for various aspects of the celebration, instead of bringing gifts. One very generous friend offered his spacious yard as a venue, we asked people to bring a covered dish and bottle of something, and we ended up getting a pig that we roasted (but that was a little over the top). Meg Wilson is the best photographer I know locally. Unfortunately we didn't know her at the time. The wonderful thing about same sex weddings is that you don't have to follow the rigid (and expensive) customs of "traditional" weddings, and can do whatever you want. Even though it was very low budget, it was the nicest wedding that many of our guests had ever been to, mostly because there was so much love to celebrate. I hope your's is even nicer.

Danforth Chapel is *gorgeous* and has a small reception room attached. It has a busy schedule, though, and you can only reserve it for 4 hours (plus an hour or so the day before for rehearsal) and the price has gone up. Union Church is huge for a small wedding, but they have a big fellowship hall downstairs. Boone Tavern has I think 3 private rooms, and the price actually isn't bad, but I don't think they allow outside catering. Folk Center is another good place, and big enough to have everything in the same room. For an early summer wedding, Indian Fort could be a good outdoor location. I don't know much about them, but there's the Berea Arena Theatre, and another theatre company bought the old Churchill Weavers building.
