Need recommendations for pain management doctor in the area.
Dawn A. replied:
Pain Management has become very difficult for people that are disabled due to injury or diagnosis that provides legitimate reason for pain. MRI which can show determination in many ways Such as physical changes and decline in ability to preform normal activities of daily living. Pain is never absent, it is also the only way to tell what your body can handle. Warning With the Opioids and heroine epidemic it is virtually impossible to find doctor's to treat patients effectively. All patients are viewed as drug seekers. This has become very difficult for those who are in need of a direct Care plan to manage disability and control the effects of severe pain. I see neurologist monthly and mental health professional and doctor who specializes in geriatric and disabled. It is 2x a month every two weeks to be monitored for pain MGMT After looking for 11 months for help. My prior pain MGMT. Doctor released me from his Care after 9 years of care It happened January 2016. Suddenly . My dosage at that time kept me at a level I could manage with aide and Assistance from friends and family. With the new laws that overseeing opiod distribution and comparing herion abuse as one and the same FDA took the ability for many to scramble for necessary help. My faith has renewed my ability to accept my disabilities and limitations. God Bless and good luck. Don't give up hope you will find the right doctor. Try the office for disability or discuss in detail with your primary. It is not a question of necessary to take medication for pain but how much and how often. Addiction to medications can become more involved than patients realize. The physical and psychological effects of pain medication should be monitored and taken seriously for the overall health of the patient.

Dr Charles Daknis if you’re looking seriously, office in TR. He also practices out of Seaview Orthopedic these days. He will take time to listen and hopefully guide you to what’s best.
