People, this is a genuine question. I know it has been asked before, but most threads only have 2-3 useful suggestions. Be nice to our new posters.

Try MAOC Hair at Hessische Str. 5, 10115 Berlin This guy is great! 18 € for students 23 € otherwise. He works alone. You make your reservation by phone or directly at the place. You enter the locale and hear classical music in the background. Nobody else in the room, only you and him. For an entire hour he is all yours. Classic routine: 1. He serves you tea or water if you want 2. You explain your desired hair style 3. He washes your hair, cuts your hair, washes it again and then styles it. All while you can relax and listen to the background music. Or have a conversation with him. It’s all up to you. If you don’t want to talk, he won’t disturb the silence. 4. You pay and leave satisfied.

As in many cities, cf. Figaro's in Portugal, there are "hipster" barbers popping up all over the place. "Jack's Barber" on Sonnenalle/Herrmannplatz is one such where a fancy haircut is 20€. They also do beards. You could get as low as 8€ but the usual is €12-15 and the extra €5 is worth the difference even if they don't serve you scotch and coffee. Berlin Friseure is also amazing and the girls who work there are lovely. If you want it to last a month at least you should be paying 15 plus, otherwise you just get the same haircut as the barber and need to make adjustments yourself.

There is really nice one next to Lidl at Sbahn Charlottenburg. I don't remember the name though.

Viktor Leske (https://www.instagram.com/viktor_leske_berlin/) in Mitte has been my go to place for a haircut, bit on the expensive side though with 30€ for a 30-45 min cut. The cut is mostly done using clippers and I consider it to be very meticulous, few times I've even gotten my eyebrows trimmed a bit. If you want to try something new I'm sure they can come up with something. The owner and most of the guys there are french and the guys/gals who I've visited have been quite chill. All in all worth a try if the price doesn't deter you.

I get my hair cut here: http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/streetcut-berlin Very good haircuts, but a bit pricey - €18. Two different guys cut my hair there - one was English, the other guy is Danish and speaks perfect English.

My barber in Berlin is [Persona non grata](https://www.facebook.com/Slutnongrata), email: modvark@gmail.com. He's Belgian, talks good English, loves geometric style but cuts well a little less experimental styles as well. I haven't been there for some time but last time he charged 20€.
