Hi, I'll be moving to Biggleswade in Sept/Oct and I'm looking for a good vet for my two British Shorthairs, could anyone recommend one? Thank you

Elizabeth Smith.

Www.esmithvet.comAmazing vets, have their own out of hours, very caring, would highly recommend
Zoe P. replied:
if you don't drive then Coutts is in town but they are overpriced, Elizabeth Smith is a good one but has a waiting list sometimes and you can only get on by referral, Deepdale are in the next town and are well priced and we now also have Vets4Pets in the retail park but this one I've not used myself, all others I mention I have used for my Dog or Cats

http://www.medivet.co.uk/practice-finder/bedfordshire/biggleswade/ brilliant had an offer on my two cats for £24 every month worming and flea treatment free health checks free microchipping free etc
Louise J. replied:
Elizabeth Smith have been amazing with my partners parents British Shorthair! They took him there for a second opinion after they were told that their cat needed an essential operation about ten years ago, and they told them it was unnecessary, he's absolutely fine! They haven't looked back. Very nice staff too who care:)
Rachael S. replied:
I have 2 British Short Hairs too!! Vets4Pets definitely. 7 days a week is unbeatable. £10 per month for care plan that includes flea, worming, vaccinations, health check plus perks etc etc! Check them out x
Michelle W. replied:
Deepdale vets, they are amazing more about the animals than money!! Great friendly staff and atmosphere xxxx
I've not been there myself but a number of people have said that Berry House on Clifton Road are good - http://www.berryhousevets.co.uk/
Rowena R. replied:
Elizabeth Smith Upper Caldecote01767 627317 perfect with overnight and emergency cover...this is not always available...great large or small furries or exotic pets
Tina H. replied:
Berry House in Shefford is very good, but if anything major needed then you have to go to their branch in Hitchin and they use Julia Boness in Barton as their out of hours cover as hers is 24/7 if that helps
Tracy G. replied:
Julia Boness veterinary hospital Barton-le-clay or Flitwick very good
Wendy D. replied:
Berry House in Shefford is excellent, I've used them for 4 years without fault.
Deepdale excellent value for money and fab service. But No out of hours. Elizabeth smith also great more pricey but have the much needed out of hours. I have been unfortunate enough to use the horrendous out of hours service in Barton le clay Beds vets. (Which are who most vets use) THIS SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS
Joy G. replied:
Elizabeth Smith is really good and have their own out of hours.

Lynne S. replied:

Jackie B. replied:
Elizabeth Smith Vets Upper Caldecote
Anita N. replied:
Elizabeth Smiths. They are the only vets who offer 24 hour cover from their own premises. Having had to do the out of hours trip to Barton le Cley with a poorly cat I wouldn't consider any other vet
Kay B. replied:
Adelaide Veterinary Surgery in Sandy. Coutts were awful with our dog, and Elizabeth Smith's nearly killed him when they gave him an anaesthetic for a 32 kg dog to X-ray for bronchitis. He only weighed 23 kg!!!
Lisa F. replied:
We go to Elizabeth Smiths.
Neil W. replied:
I'd thoroughly recommend Hitchin vets...it's run by stuart de Wolfe and although we are moving to Cornwall I'd still consider driving back here to see him if it wasn't an emergency...you can really tell he totally cares. We've used him for the last 20 years between us.

Pets4 vets in Pets at home they are all so lovely and very caring.x
Avril B. replied:
Whichever one you choose ask about their out of hours service first as many use other vets which are some distance away. I would recommend Elizabeth Smiths as they offer their own out of hours service which saves the stress for both your pet and you of travelling any distance.
Has anyone lost a young Labrador we have found one and are going to take it to the vet in stevenage to see of it has a chip my number 07773333606 if anybody knows who's...
