Any suggestions for a moderately priced, meaning I don't need to impress anyone this trip, hotel in the Historic District of Savannah? I usually book hotels through...

AirBnB is pretty great. There's also http://www.staysavannahvacationrentals.com/ http://www.savannahgetaways.net/Rental_Listings/Savannah/Historic_Districthttp://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/georgia/coastal/savannah And Travelocity's flipkey: http://www.flipkey.com/savannah-vacation-rentals/g60814/

No suggestions on a place to sleep, but if the Crepe Shop on the artists square is still open, have breakfast there. Also, Bistro Savannah is a great place for a meal (if still open).

Maybe there is a bridge or two there you can hang out under - check out Lonely Planet might find something quirky there http://www.lonelyplanet.com/usa/the-south/savannah/hotels
Ken C. replied:
You can stay with Paula Dean.
Ben D. replied:
Tybee Island is a great idea. I'm wanting to see a palm tree and that could be THE answer for this Savannah sojourn.
Lee D. replied:
Agreed Ben!
Ted D. replied:
Try airbnb.com. It's tough on short notice but sometimes you can find a cool place for a good price.
Ben D. replied:
Who is this Paula Deen? Never heard of her. It was somebody else's chubby white butt I was kissing awhile ago. Honestly, I miss her biscuits. (That's what we called 'em.) THANKS for these. I love The Gastonian, but it's not going to be that. However, you may see my selfies from their veranda. Checking each one out.

I was there in May- definitely go the VRBO route if anything is available- I had friends stay at the Country Inn and Suites, nice rooms and location. Avoid the Hyatt- I stayed there and it was icky. Supposedly renovating this summer... Loved historic Bonaventure Cemetery and eat at The Gryphon Tea Room. Yummy.
The Hampton Inn, believe it or not, is very nice. We also love the Gastonian Inn.

Paula Dean is now Persona Non Grata - even in Savannah. Uncle Bubba was even run out of town on a rail.

Lisa T. replied:
Ben, not sure if this would work for you or not, but there IS a Holiday Inn Express on Bay Street, right smack dab in the middle of everything. Address is 199 E. Bay Street, right near River Street and City Walk. Honestly I am not sure of their price tag, but...........maybe that would be a starting point for you?
Hi mobile! I've got a crew planning to come down the weekend of November 11th. We're gonna be hunting Lapras. I've heard through the grape vine you folks can help us...
Erica S. replied:
The Malaga Inn (downtown Mobile) has rooms for like $90/night.... and it's not too far from Felix's as mentioned above. When you go through the Bankhead tunnel it's like a straight shot... literally like 10 mins away.
Donald M. replied:
The Battleship is a great place, just before you get to Felix's. There are a couple of decent hotels downtown and also Tillmans Corner area. Places to eat....lots of seafood places along the Causeway; Felix's, R&R, Bluegill, Ed's, Original Oyster House and a couple of more. Big Time Diner is good food as well. Lots of chains, national and regional, and some good local places. Other areas to hunt, Dauphin Island and Fairhope pier.
Michael S. replied:
Don't leave without trying The Blind Mule downtown.
Brandon M. replied:
Hey Trainer, I'm a Silph Road Guide for Mobile. It's cool to have people come visit us for a Pokemon hunt. Yes we do have Lapras spawns around the Mobile Bay area on the Causeway, Battleship park (Fee to get in) and Felix's most notably. But as others have pointed out, Lapras is VERY rare spawn. An analysis of 100 million spawns had Lapras spans at 0.006% chance. For comparison Dragonite spans at 0.0011% chance. Just saying don't get your hopes up, but good luck. If you are at Felix's you can eat there and play. If you are in the parking lot they request that you get out of your car and play so that they can see what you are doing. You can be in the parking lot after they close. If you want to see the nests in the Mobile area, check out the Silph Road Nest Atlas at https://thesilphroad.com/atlas#12/30.6905/-88.1069 For the Vulpix nest, it's at a golf course and you have to go after they close and stay off the grass. Happy Hunting Trainer and good luck!
Is there any crash space available - or hotel recommendations? Edit: I now have crash space sorted! :) (But a list of hotels might be a good idea in general.)
Nashville folks--Can anyone recommend some good hotels in the area kinda close to Bridgestone Arena? I've found a couple but some look overpriced and some look super...
