Pediatrics East both locations, ONLY accepts Medicaid for patients that are already seen there, or newborns. And I agree with, Lane Weichman, we've seen several ped dentists over the 30 years I've been a parent and Pediatric and Adolescent Dentists on Montcair are by far the best!

Dr. Massey is great. I took my 2 year old there for her first visit this summer and she did great. She sat in my lap facing me and straddling me. The hygienists sat in front of me with our knees touching and my daughter leaned her head back to lay in her lap. Hope that made sense! I thought this was a great way to do it. She loved them counting and cleaning her teeth and asks to go back when we drive by there. They also have a play house in the waiting room. He recommended they start coming at 1 so we were actually a little late!

Dr. Vann! My daughter had pediatric dental issues caused by no prenatal vitamins/fluoride. We took her one place and it was a nightmare! We took her to Dr Parker and it was a completely different experience...because they put sunglasses on her!!! They knew she was scared and gave her something cool to take her mind off of it! She's loved them ever since! Dr. Vann came on with them and she still loves them!

They have been three times so far at ages 3 and 2 now and we love him! I have a child who does great and one that doesn't like going yet. Of course they both like getting a treasure from the box when we leave. I have never had to wait there either.

My son actually picked Dr. Parker/Dr. Vann's office after they went on a daycare field trip to their Centerpoint office. At his old dentist he was terrified and would curl up in a ball in the hall, so for a kid like that to say he wants to go to the dentist is awesome! They've been great with both of my kids.

I, too, recommend Dr. Massey. I took my child at 15 mo. with no problems at all (of course he fell and his front two teeth had turned grey, but still he was about that age). Everyone there is so friendly and Dr. Massey apologized to me once because I had to wait about 10-15 min. They had folks out sick. Out of all the times I have been there, that was our only wait. Good luck with your decision.

He is just scared of everything Dr Vann is so good with him though and doesn't pressure him at all. He does what my son will let him do. Nothing is forced.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry actually recommends that the first visit should be around 12 months old or after the full eruption of the first tooth. Then visits every 6 months through age 21 years.

Jana Wright. With all do respect, I asked for recommendations for a pediatric dentist. Not whether or not I should take him. I personally wanted to take him at 12 months. If he doesn't do well, I'll wait longer. He could love it or hate it. Won't know till he goes. Hand yes, I know, no milk after teeth brushed. As of now his teeth are brushed twice daily and he loves it.

I agree with those above. Dr. Anglin is the most fantastic and gentle pediatric dentist. He treated both of my girls their whole childhood and they just hate moving on now that they are grown. Wonderful, sweet people that care about keeping the kids happy. My oldest had to have a baby tooth pulled when she was little and he gave her a shot and she NEVER knew it. Love these people!!!

Just took my daughter this morning to Baker Chambliss- Medplex Pediatric Dentist. The staff was soooo friendly and gentle! Dr Chambliss was warm and great w my daughter! She is only 2- but she was very comfortable w them. Very happy w that office! ** TVs are mounted on ceiling Jamie Olliff- lol

Kayla the kids use to go to Dr Chambliss (Dr. baker) we loved him. I would highly recommend him. Shelton is good friends with his dad. The only reason we stopped using him is because I'm in dentistry and it was easier to take them to my office. He's a great dentist.
