This is a small snipit from the "changes to part p" page here. http://www.niceic.com/Uploads/File8952.pdf All other electrical installation work is non notifiable - namely additions and alterations to existing installations outside special locations, and replacements, repairs and maintenance anywhere. I understand people have been doing the job for a long time and disagree with kitchens now being excluded as a special location but it's there in black and white and if you go and do a part p refresher course you will be told the same as me.
