Hi! I would also look into Clawson. Those rates are cheaper and it is right next to royal oak. I just finished my own apartment hunting so i know it can be annoying. I would look into Amber Apartments. They own a bunch all over metro Detroit. And just so you know, I work in the Ren Cen too and while during off hours (or days) you can get there in about 30 min from royal oak and Ferndale, it usually takes about 45 minutes in the morning 7:30-9:30 and then again at like 4:30-6:45 ish. I take it everyday, so sadly i know...:(
