Dr. Maria Yerovi in Bloomfield. She is fantastic. I'm originally from NY and it took me a while to find her and i had to wait to have my newborn to get into her practice. WELL WORTH THE WAIT. I tried several other pediatricians and i was not pleased. I made several trips back to NY because i could not find a good doc. I still have not found a decent GP it's been 3 years.

I also recommend Dr. Maria Yerovi for peds. She is very laid back and not an alarmist when it comes to newborns and toddlers. If you can't get into her, Tenefly Pediatrics in Clifton are very good too.

If you are looking for a group, I use Pediatric professionals of West Orange on Pleasant Valley Way. Whoever you pick, make sure they have admitting privledges to St Barnabus (they have the pediatric ER). The dentist is across the street from the pediatrician, also on Pleasant Valley Way -- Dr Eytel. Best pediatric dentist EVER! Love him. For a pediatric eye dr, Dr Lambert in Livingston close to St Barnabus (she just does pediatric). They have a great pediatric optical shop right there for glasses, and the people who work there know how to properly fit children for glasses!

Had several bad experiences with Dr Szuchman. Everytime I needed to see him we were referred to the on call doctor. His office needs some major updating, it always feels old and dirty. The on call doctor, Dr Richard Marcus is outstanding takes his time with you and is very detailed oriented and never assumes you know anything. He's been voted top NJ Doctor year after year. Nurse Melissa is also amazing and I love meeting with her just as much as Dr Marcus. There are two other nurses and 2 additional staff members who are all professional and kind. They never make you feel like you are annoying them. I have called Dr Marcus numerous times in the middle of the night and he immediately calls me back with a kind and attentive voice giving me step by step instructions and usually calms me down from panic mode. Dr. Yerovi takes you immediately! They are very strict about their appointment times, so that they can be timely. She is associated w/ St Barnabas, but also does newborn visits at Mountainside.

Dr. Szuchman at 1177 Broad St. Once called him on a Sunday morning for a minor ailment my son had and he told us to meet him at his office, he'd take a look at it.

My kids go to Dr. Aversa. Never had a problem with the staff or Doctor. Very surprise of that and that they wouldn't see you. Sorry that happen to you.

I take my 2 boys to Dr Maria Turizo. So far so good. But for late night hours I take them to riverside pediatrics in Secaucus. They are very very good with walk ins when my kids are sick.

Never had a pediatrician for my kids...always used a family doctor. That being said, my niece uses Dr. Prystowski in Nutley and loves him.

We go to Dr. Yerovi and love her but I don't think she's taking new patients. I have heard good things about riverside peds:)

I believe the closest as of right now is in Springfield (though they are opening a location in Clifton (near A.C. Moore) shortly). They are open from noon until midnight 356. They can do stitches and Xrays as well as treat illnesses.
