What is the best place to grocery shop in Blue Ridge?
Ashley S. replied:
It depends on what you’re looking for. We buy our dry goods at Food Lion because it’s much cheaper and is never crowded, our meats at Blue Ridge Beef, fruits and veggies at the markets in season and at Ingles in winter and cheeses and other more specialty items at Ingles. Ingles can be expensive and limited (like for cheese if you’re feelin’ fancy), so frankly we bring a cooler for whatever we can in advance and go to Ingles in a pinch. Mercier’s has some great prepared foods, Out of the Blue has phenomenal cheeses.

Food Lion for the prices but I like Ingles for odd things like deli and breads.
Any suggestions where I can get fresh goat milk and fresh, free-roam eggs in the Blue Ridge area?
