Restaurants in Bogota, Colombia

Titanic, Harry's (on Lejune), big Cheese, Coral Bagels... There is a lot of affordable, decent food right there BECAUSE of the university.

Whisk in South Miami. It's walking distance from UM.

Any eating restrictions? Also, if she's not from the area, you should totally take her out for some authentic Miami (read: Cuban) food. I'm not sure what's right off the Metro w/r/t to that, but somebody can probably point you to a few good ones. Barring that, [Perricone's](http://www.perricones.com/) was a pretty popular date spot among me and my friends. Entrees are less than $20. Side note for anybody else in this thread: is it true that Scotty's Landing closed???

casa larios in south miami. not sure the exact price range but it's not bad. delicious cuban food and great atmosphere : )

Berries in the grove. Also, you could take the metro to the South Miami station and go to RA happy hour. That's pretty affordable.

Bagel Emporium is literally across the street from UM. It's a Jewish Deli-type restaurant. I don't know if it's date-worthy, but it's DELICIOUS. It's in the plaza with TGI Fridays and the Baptist Health Urgent Care center. Citi Bank is across the street.

Depends on your transportation. If you're stuck in the immediate area, I recommend Buffalo Wild Wings in Sunset Place. Tue/Thurs has $.60 wings/boneless and $3 tall drafts. If you have a vehicle and want something more ethnic (maybe date night?) Il Bambinos on Bird and 79 th has AMAZING $10 pasta dishes.. service is pretty crappy though:/

Shibui. Best sushi ever. Try the Macarena roll, everyone I bring there loves it.

Maybe take her to Casola's pizzeria on Coral Gables? Or maybe the Yard House in Merrick Park, although this last one might be a bit to pricey.

Big cheese?? It's not fancy but good size portions for the price, cheap beer, and damn good food.

I think there is a La Sandwicherie in Brickell. You can get there via metro mover.

Neighborhood Bistro in the Grove. It's pretty affordable for what you get compared to other places in Miami. It's also really small/intimate so you don't have to deal with loud crowds.

Burger and Beer Joint in Brickell is a lot of fun. Go on a tuesday and it is $10 burger night (build your own gourmet burger) plus happy hour specials before 7 pm. I usually go to the South Beach location and LOVE IT! Pericone's also has $10 pasta night on Thursdays. Best eggplant parmesean in Miami plus a very romantic setting. Go early or get reservations - it gets crowded on Thursdays.

"La Moon" in Brickell for their super perro... It has been featured on a few of those food network shows which makes it a fun place to visit. Plus, they just remodeled and it is nice. Afterwards go to Tobacco Road for live music and cheap drinks.

sunset tavern/deli lane is right off the south miami metro stop. food is hit or miss, some things are good, a few things really good, a bunch sort of mediocre BUT it is a fun atmosphere. very very casual.

What kind of food is your first choice? 2 nd choice? Do you want a movie theater or something nearby where people hang out - like the Grove perhaps? I don't know anything about bus connections to South Beach other than the fact that they exist and thats the direction I would head in with a gf in town for the weekend. Maybe go to Wet Willies or Clevelander for a drink and people watch, walk around and peek in doors and read menus and see what feels good although 'affordable' may require getting off Ocean Drive ,maybe hit up [Espanola Way](http://www.southbeach-usa.com/scene/scene1/espanola-way/espanola-way.htm), the prices there were a little better and it's a nice quiet spot.

There's a University Chicken Grill right across US1 from UM that's pretty good on a pinch.

Do some Sergio's on 40 th street.

They have 2(1 appetizer and 2 entrees) for $20 at Chili's and Applebee's, my bf and use this offer a lot. It's great.

Understand you are a college student, but what do you consider affordable? Also as already started if she hasn't had Cuban food that is a great idea. I'd stick to a traditional Cuban restaurant rather than the ones who pretend to be upscale.

dude to everybody i always recommend the filling station. cheap good and good beer.

Akashi has great Japanese and the prices aren't bad. It's right next to sunset place.
