The Edinburgh cat and dog home and Cranstoun are ones that we have used before and both are great. Whatever you do, do not use Candida Casa in Roswell as my dog was left out in the rain and drank and ate like he hadn't done so for the full four days when we got him home. I'm sure people have had good experiences but I've heard many other bad stories from friends that put their dogs there...never more than once which says it all really.
https://www.facebook.com/TheDoggyMinder This is a home boarding service, Lorraine is an genuine dog lover and has many return customers. I am booked in with her later in the year.

I did a job about 2 years ago for a really nice young couple who had just taken over a boarding kennel in Peebles. Seemed like a very nice place and a very caring couple who I would be happy to leave my dog with. http://www.glenbieldkennels.co.uk/
