Thank you ladies. The only vet I found in Boone that will see a guinea pig is Dr. Mast. Thank you for the info!

Dr Susan Mast is the only vet I know of in our area that will see small animals (guinea pigs, rabbits, etc). She saw our bunny a few months ago. She is wonderful! And she comes to you:)

Thank you Jennifer! I called her and left a message. She's gone until Monday. This isn't an emergency situation. Just some itchy skin issue, maybe mites. I hope to hear back from Dr. Mast soon. Thanks for the info!

I think Dr Beckworth is the best!! Have used him for many years. Always very reasonable priced and just a great vet. Very gentle & caring person & great staff.

I agree. Appalachian New River Vet is good as well as Ashe Animal Clinic. Those are my choices. I've been to both.

Dr Newlin is amazing and they are very reasonable. They do what is necessary for your pet without tons of unnecessary expensive extras. Hope your kitty is feeling better soon

Yes I agree Dr. Beckworth is really good, He is very caring and does everything possible for the animals and his staff are awesome and not as expensive as others.

I would recommend Animal Hospital of Ashe its beside the rent all in Jefferson. They show the most compassion and concern for the animal than any other place I have ever been!

The only place I've had good luck with my bulldogs is with Animal Hospital of Ashe. Great prices and wonderful doctors. Dr. Blevins is my favorite, and the only one I will trust my babies with anymore.

Megan Renee Ledford he does an amazing job and his price is 10.00 for office visits. I have 4 dogs and 2 cats and he has saved 2 of my dogs. One was cancer. Maybe you should try him before you spout your mouth. It is not Boone get the picture

I'm not sure the name but the number is 828-264-7007. Animal medical hospital maybe? They ask for $40 up front which is way cheaper then everywhere else but when it comes time to pay for the whole thing you write a check for the amount but when you date it put the date you'll have the money. Like when we went we was there a Tuesday but wouldn't have the money til the next Friday so we put the date for that Friday we got paid

I got into contact with Dr. Mast. She works with small animals. And you're right Norma, Conover is the closest for exotics.

I have a Blue/Gold Macaw and have to take her all the way down there to have her checked. Not sure a Guinea Pig is considered exoctic. I would try Dr Mast. She is a great vet
