Looking for recommendations for an orthodontist for my son. Not worried about whether they let you make payments, as most do. Mostly looking for one on the cheaper side....
Barb J. replied:
Dr Wagner is the most affordable and very experienced. He has been around awhile. We like Jones in Monroe because we did not want to travel. Jones is great but you can save $1000-2000 if you want to drive to Woodinville. For our situation Wagner was only a few hundred dollars cheaper but a friend of mine saved over $1000 going to Wagner instead of Chan.
Tiffany N. replied:
Dr. Michael Wagner in Woodinville.
Cherie M. replied:
Dr. Jones!
Janell E. replied:
Dr Max
Bridgette T. replied:
Dr. Max!
Suzie F. replied:
Dr. Max is great! He uses the "Sure Smile" technique and the treatment time is not as long. Some seem to be in for 2 years or more...
Connie A. replied:
Melissa - we've worked with 4 different orthodontists over the years. Dr. Wagner in Woodinville was by far the best priced, and most experienced. We were very happy with him.
Andrea M. replied:
Dr Benzac in kenmore
Mandy N. replied:
Dr Chases in Bothell. It was Dr.Iveys office but he retired but his office has been there forever and they are great. They also accept payment plans
Leah D. replied:
Dr Max!
Kelly M. replied:
Dr Chan all the way!
Danielle W. replied:
Dr Maxwell is wonderful and also has an amazing staff. He goes above and beyond.
Jeff T. replied:
Dr. Max
Suzie F. replied:
Dr. Max. They all run about the same as far as cost.
Josie B. replied:
We like DR. Jones.
Kristen B. replied:
Dr. Chan! He has treated 3 of our kids and has always been completely honest and direct. He doesn't do treatment that isn't necessary and has excellent ethics.
Alyssa G. replied:
Jones Family Ortho. Great people. Always interested in what the kids are up to.
Michele C. replied:
Jones Orthodontics -- THE BEST!
Michelle W. replied:
We have been very happy with Jones Family Orthodontics, right by the movie theater. Very nice people, and the cost is less than a few others we had checked out.
Margot R. replied:
Dr Jones is great!
Kara H. replied:
Dr. Bruner, he is in Duvall and Redmond:)
Tiffany J. replied:
I agree with Cindy, that's why I recommend Paul Lund with Lund orthodontics! They all care about the correct treatment for each patient, not only that but the safest and less invasive approach.
Erin A. replied:
When I was a child, my parents took me to the University of Pittsburgh Dental School for "low cost" orthodontic care. Thanks Mom and Dad, I'm still paying for it!
Tiffany N. replied:
My son has an underdeveloped lower jaw and therefore had to have a Herbst device to correct it, along with the braces. Dr. Wagner charged $5000 for that and braces over a 2 1/2 year period. Seemed like a pretty good deal to us. Plus, he did my husbands ortho work when he was a kid and he has really nice teeth. Tiffany S Norton
Does anyone have a kiddo who's had a jaw expansion thingy put in by an orthodontist? Jasper likely needs one and is fuh-reaking out. I need someone else to tell him he...
Jonni R. replied:
Cam has an expander..Dr Richard Chan in Bothell, right by the library
Melissa G. replied:
I agree with Julie Pohl... Dr. Young was my Orthodox... Who knew he was still around! He is amazing though!
Thea F. replied:
Dr. Bruner donates to the BCS auction too
Patricia T. replied:
Dr Peeples in Oly did this for both my kids. It yielded fantastic results. They gave the best bite and jaw line ever
Wendy S. replied:
Dr Bruner is the BEST! We actually drive from Edmonds to see him, wouldn't go anywhere else! He has a new office in Duvall too.
Cindi T. replied:
Dr Simons and Lowe in Shoreline.
Michelle B. replied:
No expander experience, but both our kids went to Dr. Wagner in Woodinville. I got three estimates for Conner's ortho adventure and he was by far the least expensive. No bells and whistles, just straight up care.
Julie P. replied:
Shae had one...not a big deal...just a day or two to get used to it. Warner Young at Young Smiles in Redmond is a long time BCS family & supporter PLUS he has a deal through BCS Scrip! Awesome! We love him!
Jayna H. replied:
Dr Bruner is in Redmond but he is a BCS dad. He was amazing with my freaking out about stuff child!
Therese M. replied:
Anna had one when she was Jasper's age. It was so uneventful I doubt she even remembers it now. Dr. Wagner in Woodinville is the best. And he loves baseball. Jasper would like him. He's gentle and kind.
Mommas, I am in need of some great orthodontist recommendations for children. Thanks!!
Elizabeth M. replied:
Dr. Brunner's office in Redmond is the best! Always run on time and super nice.
Yvonne D. replied:
Fey and Grey in bothell. Father daughter team and actually told us one of the kids didn't need braces cuz her bite was fine. Still did them for cosmetic tweaks but was impressed they were so honest!
How do you know if an orthodontist is charging a fair price?
Eileen R. replied:
I shopped several orthos in the area...all came within a couple hundred bucks of each other, but Dr Darvish included everything but the retainers. Didn't matter how long treatment was going to be. ND orthodontics.
