Thinking about getting a math tutor for an 8th grader. Would prefer a private one vs. a franchise .Any suggestions?

The Gaea Shaw Homework Center at the library offers free drop-in tutoring on Mondays-Thursdays, 2:45-6:30, with a cadre of extremely dedicated volunteer tutors, some of whom have been here 10+ years! We also have a separate room from 5:00-6:30 specifi cally for high school math and physics students. Plus, a bus from Angevine drops students off at the library every afternoon! http://www.cityoflafayette.com/index.aspx?NID=1030

Tom Masterson is the best in Boulder. He works at high school and college level. One of his students got into Stanford last year. If you can't find his number, let me know.

DreamCatcher learning center in Boulder is phenomenal. Iris is excellent at matching the right students to the right tudor. The philosophy of teaching and learning is fun and reinforcing. Both my kids have had incredible experiences with DreamCatcher. Also Betsy Kabrick is exceptionally good for science and math.
