Meat Liquor on York Place if you're not a veggie (although they do veggie options) and like cocktails. Chili Pickle in Jubilee Street for all your Indian style and spicy food. Highly recommended. La Capanina in Madeira Place for awesome Italian food.

I would disagree with you all. ;-) The best restaurant and food is the Lion and lobster. Talking from 10 years experience of french cuisine another 10 years of worldwide cuisine. Number one English menu Lion and Lobster. Number two french cuisine La fourchette. Number 3 Pinocchio Italian cuisine. Best pie the white rabbit pub. Best north African food . máscara restaurant. And the list goes on. ;-)

Terre A Terre in East Street is my favourite. The Chilli Pickle is also excellent.

Depends on what you like. Can highly recommend BBQ Shack, which is in The World's End pub on London Road. It's not in the slightest bit elegant but it's wonderful food. I've heard good things from several friends about The Salt Room but haven't actually been there. Give the restaurant in The a Grand a miss. It looks nice and is famous but it's not very tasty and very expensive. The Ganges on Church Road in Hove is the best Indian in the whole city.
is there any good restaurants thats good for gluten free , child friendly ,in ascot ?
Rose D. replied:
We went to Casa Nova last night for the first time in the High St, Virginia Water - the food and service was amazing and my daughter eats their regularly and she has to be gluten free so I know they cater well.

We went to Wembley last summer there are loads of places next to the stadium in the shopping centre, most chain restaurants are there and it's literally at the stadium. http://www.wembley.co.uk/restaurants-bars-coffee-shops

Hinds Head in Bray. It's Heston's gastro-pub and really rather good. Not terribly expensive, either.
