I also agree, Dan Talley is great and we love La Costa. If you want old style Florida cottage check out Bamboo Apartments and talk with Alice. Saul Fish Gulf Suite would also be a good fit.

Sunset Terrace through islandvacationproperties.com is great. We just stayed in a one bedroom condo and it was very nice. Located near the Beach House.
Kathy B. replied:
Tortuga Inn may have what you need.
Debra O. replied:
Call Dan Talley at 941 778 8000 he is the rental agent for LaCosta and Marbella. Both are right on the beach, you can watch the sunset from your screened lanai, and both have pools that face the beach too! Very reasonable rental costs. You can walk to The Beach House, the Gulf Drive Cafe and Bridge Street.
Since there seems to be a name that restaurant trend, what was the name of the restaurant that would weigh kids and charge accordingly? I am not sure what town it was...

Liked it when it was "For Pete's Sake". I had the T shirt with the smiley face and had a mug hanging over the bar. Was one of the first patrons when it opened. Knew Richie Barrett for a long time. His dad started the Ground Round when he worked for Howard Johnsons. He wanted a share and they said no so he quit and started Teal's Cabin and Pete's Sake and Abington Ale house Barrett's in Chelsea and all the others that were mentioned here.

Ginny and Janes is cute, good cup of regular coffee, breakfast muffins and full breakfasts. There is also a great little French bistro down on Bridge Street that we love for coffees and crepes or french bread breakfasts.

Check out town of Anna Maria (to north)--beyond Holmes Beach.... (you can bus there) there is a place on Gulf Blvd heading No. before Pine St. that has a bakery and sit down area for coffee, etc. Ask locals....there. Anna Maria has NO Dunkins or Starbucks or gas stations, drug stores, etc. It is wonderful!!! refreshing!!!
