The Family Tree is a wonderful counseling center in Lafayette that has counselors who work with children. They have a sliding scale for their fees too

While I do not have an answer to your question, I do applaud you for taking this route and not falling into the trap caused by the idiotic stigma attached to this sort of thing. No sarcasm, you are a good parent.
ModRod replied:
Aucoin & Associates takes kids and I like them for my own mental shit. Pediatric Therapy and Learning seems to focus on kids that are on the spectrum or have some other IDD, but we took our kid there for a while to help him with his sensory sensitivity and anxiety.

We use a great counseling center in breaux bridge. They meet with a psychiatrist once a month and then they see a counselor as many times as necessary. Our counselor meets us at home or at the park or library and we do individual and group sessions as a family. The lady that started it had a son that ended up committing suicide and so she has made it her life's work to help others. Great people. They are Christian based, but they have never pushes that on us, so don't be thrown off at first. This is the website and phone number. They also take Medicaid. https://www.anewdaycounseling.net(337) 442-6823

I'm not 100% positive if she treats children, but my husband goes to Dr. Amy Kavanaugh and he loves her. He's had a *huge* improvement in his anxiety and in his ADD since he started seeing her.

The Picard Center on Devalcourt offers free counseling services, if price is an issue.

What insurance do you have?

Rachel Foreman is also a good resource.

Another recommendation for Aucoin. Both myself and my son were clients there. We're not clients now as my son moved away for college and my therapist started her own thing (and I followed cuz lord forbid I dump my drama on someone new) but I still feel confident recommending them. I still go for my meds.
Pediatrician recommendation please in lafayette goooooo.

Libby at pediatric group they have Dr Atwi, Dr papp, Dr bandaru, Dr Tian and Dr Sagwea. Our 3 kids all 3 go under the care of Dr Atwi but if he isn't available we see any of the other doctors. We have never had a issue and being that Kaislyn was born with failure to thrive I was worried but Atwi always made sure she was doing good and kept on track with everything for her.
