My husband and I have weird non-dates. We do them when our son is in school. We like to just meander. Antique shops and coffee shop (were from Portland originally) we take alternative modes of transportation, like the bus, bikes (we are getting adult kick scooters soon) go to book shops and pretty much anything we like to do. We will go out for lunch. We do it in the day because we have several hours to just enjoy one another's company and no baby sitter. Plus in the evening we can enjoy wine and music. It's normally less money than dinner and if you end up at the movies it's normally matinee.

I would check with Red Plantation or Valley Vintage Market. Both the owners restore furniture as far as I’m aware. Or, they will know someone who does.
