http://www.imdt.uk.com/ they have some good links to education - there are quite a few associations to look through though, but I know someone who's gone through IMDT (Or at least is not accredited by them) and they're ethical, up to date etc

Hello. I'm new to Bristol (moving in next week). I have 2 dogs, both rescues. One of them has decided it's great fun to hurtle up to people and bark at them. ...

Goodness me!! Thank you everybody (and merry christmas to you all!) Rehabilitating dogs with reactive behaviour is my favorite thing to work with so I'd be happy to help. Feel free to get in touch once you're settled in Cadi, and if for any reason you can't book in then I also highly recommend Rosie at Pet Sense too! (Why are you not volunteering yourself Michelle Lord- are you super busy with other projects?)
Michelle L. replied:
Hi Cadi, I would recommend you contact Rosie Bescoby at www.pet-sense.co.uk. Rosie is a fully qualified Clinical Animal Behaviourist and is extremely experienced in the most up to date methods of rehabilitating dogs with behavioural issues. Good luck with the move:)
Hi, thanks for the add. I'm looking for some information on the dog training, agility and how much the field is for a dog walk. Who would be the best person to speak to,...

I offer one-one sessions at The Mutty Professor (We only do puppy classes for dogs up to 20 weeks old), but if it's classes you want then Mutley's in Clifton do some that are based on positive reinforcement. Where ever you end up go for qualified, accredited teachers who never use force. Class numbers should be small, less than 8 meets the standards of most organisations (such as APDT).

Bristol Dog Training Society run the class in St Francis Church Hall. It's £3 a week + £10 annual membership. We've been going for a year and are getting good results now

Can anyone recommend accommodation near the location for the Feb Dog Trainer course in Herts please?
Sally F. replied:
I always stay at this gorgeous, luxury B & B in St Albans (about 15 mins drive). You can take a small dog there too (they do have a resident terrier) There are chain hotels closer, but I'm not a fan of that type of accomm. And the B & B works out cheaper if you are on your own. :) http://www.29 stalbans.com/
Hello, can anybody recommend a behaviour/ dog trainer that comes to your house? I seem to find ones that I would have to take out to a class etc.
Thanks in advance X
So, I have a lot of dog loving people on my facebook so hopefully someone will know. Does anyone know of a good dog trainer in Bristol? Willow's got a bit dog aggressive...
