Second hand wise, there is a St Peter's hospice furniture shop on Brislington hill. Gumtree, shpock and freecycle may be friendly to you too.

In addition to all of the great suggestions here, I've always had good success buying used furniture on gumtree.

Yoooo, if you're looking for a new sofa, give me a shout. We just ordered a new 1 and if you are able to pick the sofa up let me know, we'll sort something out. We have a corner sofa in good condition, but I can always send some pics.
