CM's ideas on leadership may often be counter productive in a dog that truly has separation anxiety... and in some cases may make it worse. IMO.. And unless you have someone who can be with the dog's all the time, it is really hard. The first thing you need to figure out is if it is really separation anxiety.... Having a video camera to see the dog's behavior is pretty much necessary, as it is hard to tell form just the results (destruction or self mutilation, etc). He will be coming to Brookings to do some in home and dog park work with my dog as those places are where we have the most issues. I highly reccomend giving him a call. Town and Country Animal Clinic! Dr. Trimble doesn’t stand behind his work. For example, if you have him neuter your cat, and that cat gets your other cat pregnant, he will tell you that’s to bad, must have grown back! Um, really? Grown back? Or you just didn’t get it the first time around?
