Palo Alto, CA and Irvine, CA, but I don't actually think there is anywhere better than Davidson. Stanford OHS combined with public school is another option. Phillips Exeter isn't public but has tremendous financial aid and takes many PG. E.O. Wilson in CT has EG/HG students (public), as do the Renzulli Academies in CT.

We are looking at university scholars program in West Chester, PA for next year. It's a public on-site/cyber blend for gifted. Although, it wouldn't be much of a move for you. The school is only for the gifted, fyi. Universityscholars.org
