I'm Australian & like most of our families who travel oversees we have gone with Dr. Roberson. He is amazing. My daughter has had bilateral atresia repairs with him now, 12 months apart & our results have been great. Your outcome will depend on your score rating though, Frankee-Lee got 9/10 for both ears, even though she had some deformities inside. www.atresiarepair.com

Dr. Bonilla in San Antonio, Texas does a great job. He did our daughters surgeries (rib graft). She was around 8 yrs lold. She is now 14 and ppl can't tell that her left ear is different unless we tell them about it.
Michelle G. replied:
My son had rib graft at age 6 but it was with Dr. Brent in Calif. and he is now retired.
Amy G. replied:
I'm in Portland with a two year-old son with microtia. We've seen Dr Wilson and Dr Wong at OHSU for consultations, and they've encouraged us to believe age 5 is doable, depending on our son's growth at that age. We'll have another consult with Dr Wong in two weeks, so we'll have better info soon. Dr Wilson would perform the BAHA, and Dr Wong would do the Medpor. Call them!
Microtia G. replied:

My daughter had her Medpor surgery done last year at age three with doctor Lewin. She is amazing and we are all so happy.
Dani O. replied:
We went with Dr. Fairbanks in Utah. Finished our last surgery this summer. My twins were a young 6 and my son had 3 pieces of cartlldge removed to make his ear. My daughter had 4 pieces removed to make hers. The Dr. did say her ribs were much smaller and he had to move higher on the rib cage. Her surgery did take longer than my sons because of that. Dr. Russell Griffith is the Dr. from Boise.
Valerie V. replied:
Thank you everyone for this amazing information! I am waiting for call back from Dr. Lewin. Can anyone give me information about out of pocket costs for the medpor. We have insurance but it looks like Dr. Lewin is out of network.
Kerri J. replied:
My son had his first surgery at age five with dr. Lewin. Dr. Robertson will also do it at a younger age. Happy to have surgery before school age.
Trevin M. replied:
Dr. Russell Griffiths in Boise did a great job going through both options for our son. We elected rib graft and he is 6. I highly recommend at least a consultation with him.
