If you rent your car through agencies, be careful! I've rented a car through holidaycars.com from Europcar. Because it was cheaper and gave limitless km. But, although I rented a "diesel car", they gave me a "standard car". So, I had to pay more money due to the fuel type.

If for rental in Belgium (and if you're in the Brussels area), I highly recommend Astral Rent-a-Car. No hidden fees with them. If you book online with companies like Avis, Hertz etc, do read the small-print.
