Hello everyone, thank you all for your input ... we went to Buckingham Garden Centre today & had a lovely lunch & picked up some bits & pieces for presents. The place at Stratton Audley sounds lovely so will have to give that a try another time. Thank you all

Ohh ok so the Eco Centre is perhaps a no go as it’s just my friend & I (in our 50’s with no kids/grandkids) .. have been to Buckingham GC in the past so that is one of our options but was looking for new ideas ... thanks ladies for your help so far

The EcoFarm tends to better suit a group involving children. There is a more "grown up" cafe too and v much a favourite of cyclists of a Sunday. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g6851833-d10525853-Reviews-Stratton_Audley_Barn-Stratton_Audley_Bicester_Oxfordshire_England.html As@aime mentions, the Stratton Audley Barn might suit you better. This is the consultation - if you concerned about this or other aspects of the proposed restructuring (which is pretty vague anyways...) - please add your voice: https://www.buckscc.gov.uk/services/care-for-children-and-families/improving-early-help-services-for-children-young-people-and-families/

I am sure that any times where there is room availability that The Centre could be made available FOC. Best to pop round and discuss with Stephen Shaun Smith

Jon, Your cafe comment is taken a little out of context. Only today when I was meeting our adoption team, they told me that they already offer a range of places to meet parents or carers, and quite rightly they respect the options put forward by the parent. One of which recently was a supermarket cafe as that is where the career was comfortable. Why would we not want to respect that option? And if a confidential conversation was needed there are a plethora of locations up and down the county that could be used, from the house to a council office facility.
