[Spring](http://www.springrestaurante.com.ar/home.html) is really good, practically every non-vegetarian person I´ve taken there loves the food. Los Sabios was mentioned, it's not bad but Spring is better, they have has less fried food and better dishes. Also in Palermo, [Pizza Vegana](http://www.pizzavegana.com/) has a really good variety of vegan pizzas. Enjoy!

If you don't mind spending more money you should try Puerto Cristal in Puerto Madero, it's around 30-40 dollars a meal and it has the best pasta I've ever tasted. Also, you eat by the *dique* with one of the best views in Buenos Aires

You can eat pizzas and some empanadas. Some good "pizzerÃas" are Las Cuartetas, Guerrin and El Palacio de la Pizza (these can be found in Avenida Corrientes, near the Obelisco).
Also, you can order some empanadas in these restaurants. While there are some meat variants, you can try the cheese & onion (queso y cebolla), spinach (verdura) and roquefort empanadas.
You can also try some pastas, like ravioles and canelones (these can come with spinach, just be careful when ordering). Campo di Fiori is a nice place to eat a pasta.
Lastly, go to a common restaurant and ask about "Milanesas de Soja". They might have them.
Most restaurants have a lot of food variety, so you shouldn't worry about searching a particular restaurant.
Warning: Those pizzerias that I mentioned to you are kinda heavy. Try a portion first. If this worries you, then go to La Continental.

As a vegetarian i can tell you there are few options for us. Most restaurants are not fully vegetarian and they lack variety in the menu. I usually go to Spring (full vegetarian): www.springrestaurante.com.ar . If you are into Asian food, you'll love it!

sorry I'm late, check for Vita palermo, it's vegan and delicious
JuanseCap replied:
There is also Green Eat, which is no strictly vegetarian, (its freshfood rather), but they have some vegetarian dishes
You can Google these ones: Vita Eco Market (it has two stores), Kensho, Buenos Aires Verde (also two stores), Konu Bar (also two stores), 011 Vegan... There are lots of other places, like Sarkis, that it's not strictly vegetarian but it has amazing arabian dishes. Check www.happycow.com for more places:)

There's a vegetarian restaurant in Palermo, Spring; Los Sabios in Almagro and I can't stop recommending Konu and Vita. Happy Cow is your best friend, you should consider using it.

Union Oyster House is the oldest restaurant in America! Ben Franklin ate there. Not outrageously expensive either, and if they're into raw oysters it's great.

A subject near and dear to this former New Deal Fish Market employee's heart! East Coast Grill in Inman Square is great great great! Muqueca in Inman is also good (but is Brazilian food, so maybe too close to home?). Legal Seafood is the classic option obvs.
Steinar Refsdal - can you please post here in a comment the names and addresses of the AWESOME Thai restaurant, of the AWESOME ice cream place and of the fancy steak...

Casa Felix is my favourite closed door restaurant (join their Facebook group for details). It's semi-vegetarian, fully vegetarian on request. To me, it's hands down the best place to eat in Buenos Aires. Susanne and I had pretty good Thai food at Cocina Sunae. I've yet to eat good sushi anywhere in Baires. I like the medialunas from Gruber.

Can anyone recommend some great kosher restaurants in Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, or Sao Paulo for our Kosher Excursions site?
Miriam L. replied:
Julie Manevitz ....what have you got down there??
Ryan D. replied:
Buenos Aire have a kosher map called Mapa Kosher - mapakosher.comThe best places are in the suburb Once. When I was there, you get great pizza, pasta etc at El Pasaje and great steak/meat from Mama Jacinta, Carniceria, Succath David and Tov Lev. Then there's kosher McDonalds at Abasto Shopping centre for the fun of it. The most NB thing to eat in BA is meat, so enjoy!
Hi!
Need recommendations for the best sushi restaurant but not pricy. Around king George street and bograshov ( near the shuk ha karmel)
Thanks!
Sarah G. replied:
There is a place on Bugrashov very close to King George that is cheap and reasonable. It is not my favorite overall, but my favorite cheap priced sushi. Overall I like Kanki the best and Nini Hatchi on Ben Yehudah near Nordau but those are both not cheap.
Indiana P. replied:
Not true at all, go to Sushi Basel on Frishmann, Ze Sushi on kikar basel is also reasonable

Ask locally. Not a lot of "locals" would be posting on Craigslist, although quite often someone knows a guy who knows a guy. Have you considered hopping across the water at Santa Rosalia to Guaymas/San Carlos (www.sancarlosboard.com)
