What editing programs do you recommend? I'm still a newbie photographer and don't really know which one is better to invest in. Any suggestions?

Lightroom and Photoshop CC for $10 a month. Don't underestimate Lr. In my experience, they make a great combination, while still being true to what photography is. Though the argument can be made about how far you take it, and what becomes fantasy. From Ron Gessel whom uses only Lr to Von Wong whom strictly uses Ps. That will be a decision you will make, what your boundaries are for photography. You've already chosen digital. Good luck finding your style, click everything, and explore all avenues. There is no fast way when it comes to finding yourself in your art.

Jen Sullivan-Smith, trust me, you cannot come close to doing everything in PSE that you can do in PS (which is why PS costs 10 x more). Depends on what you need to do in post. Try the free trials and see what you think
