Can anyone recommend a reasonable real estate lawyer who has experience dealing with squatters, preferably someone who understands the mentality of the anarchist/freegan...

Loran Bommer is the best attorney for eviction . I have a great real estate attorney, and I still use Bommer for evictions .. Not sure about his squatter experience, but I'm sure he can do it

Mark Peszko - 885-1921. He helped me last April with an eviction, $200 I think I paid. He is a super-great guy from Blackrock. Tell him I referred you.

Rich Morrisroe is also good at Landlord Tenant work. As to the discussion - Stephen you're right, the person does have tenancy rights, so if you want them out, you'll have to go through housing court. Just throwing him out and changing the locks would constitute an illegal lockout. You could try to offer him a settlement to leave, but I would suggest you also have him sign a Surrender Agreement, so he can't later come back and say you did something illegal. Also, I would be particularly careful here as many people on this very public forum have advocated illegal actions and violence towards this person. If they were to see this and save it, that could make it difficult for you in the future.
