His last name was Latona and lived right behind us on West Lane. We lived on Ontario St. and we did get shoes repaired from him. We also used to put cardboard from Cadet Cleaners in our shoes to get a little more use out of them. With 9 kids times were tough and you had to be creative!

Shoe repair at Main and Transit. I had one of Monica's bags fixed there in a few days. Better than new!!
