My husband and I just moved into the area last July, I'm half Chinese/ cuban but i'm very picky on Chinese food can somebody suggest a good Chinese restaurant in that...

The last few times we went to the Chinese Buffet on Hwy 95 the food was barely warm at best. I have mentioned it to the management and he said "O.K. I'll check it" comes over and tells us its " Its hot enough". We went back again a month later and the hot food was at best only warm. I have never had a bad meal at the Chinese food rest. in Needles. I believe it is named China Panda (previously China Garden). I could have that backwards though. However I will not go to Cooks Cusine in Needles. Sorry Needles. I know quite a few that like that food, but when their rating went down it wasn't worth it to me to even try it.
Janet T. replied:
Sorry I've been calling Panda Garden by the wrong name. It is not "China Panda". Still good food. lol
Janet T. replied:
Panda Garden has really good lunch items. They used to serve more meat in dishes such as Panda Lo Mein, but the last time I ordered it there was less meat. The economy the way it is its not surprising thatthey cut back a bit.

As others noted, Chao Praya is very good for Thai, especially in this area (http://www.chaoprayathaicuisinevpweb.com/). Not Chinese but good Thai is better than not-so-great Chinese. That said I don't really mind Red Dragon if I stick to a few menu options. They are more east coast "American style" Chinese more than the west coast style most here are probably used to.

House Of Siam on Hancock is by far my favorite. It's seasonal, because the family that runs it goes back to Thailand every year. Total family ran business, and home cooked food! It's a small house, and the dining room is very intimate. The prices are cheap, and the Thai Iced tea is da' bomb!!

Vegas is the place if you're looking food good Chinese and Cuban food. Las Vegas has this amazing place, Cuba Café, on Flamingo. I am part Cuban and my family has been getting food from them forever it seems haha. Their Cuban sandwiches are the best!
Fort D. replied:
We go to Vegas to eat Asian foods. If you prefer Northern or Souther Chinese makes the difference as to where I would recommend. Also go to the grocery store at Jones and Spring Mountain in Las Vegas for Asian food. We buy groceries there most weeks. Do you speak Chinese? If so, stop in at Fort Mohave Dental and say hi to Dr. Qun Collins
Roxanne G. replied:
That was awesome Fort Mohave Dental!! Nice welcome
Idania W. replied:
Fort Mohave Dental no I don't speak Chinese, both of my grandfathers die before I was born
Kimberly J. replied:
Erika Hall they are, but it seems like the best bet. You're right about Red Dragon it is awful.
Jamie M. replied:
China Garden ( or Panda Garden it is the same place) Best I have had around here.
Idania W. replied:
Thank you everybody I have tried red Dragon and China panda did not like them. I have not tried the buffet I see a lot of cars but I guess is not good either. Jamie McCorkle what is the one in needles? Laura Levecque Thompson I live in Oak Hills by Victorville in California and when we say down the hill we met Rancho Cucamonga or LA. Thank you for explaining it to me, I thought you guys head down the hill here too. so far I could see we need some good good Chinese restaurant Filipino and Cuban food! Thank you everyone
Rose W. replied:
House of Siam is still open. Gina, the owner was in Thailand for a month and was closed and she recently came back. House of Siam is the best in town for Chinese/Thai, in my opinion. Very fresh. It's small but clean and you can easily pass it up if you dont look for it. The China Garden in Needles is also good. The lunch specials at both are great.*****
