I drop my daughter off at Jubilee Day Nursery nursery at 7.30 so not sure how early you need?. She also is with Julie Gibson childminder who is fabulous and only has a marginally later drop off. ( I split 4 days between nursery and childminder). It works very well for us.

My 2 went to a chilminder - Julie Bushnell. Drop off from 8 am, pick up by 5.30 pm, term time and holidays. Julie also did pre-school drop off and collection when they started and the same when they moved up to school. She's brilliant and the kids loved her.

Look at www.childcare.co.uk register you're a parent looking at childcare and view the lists of minders and nannies. I'm an ex childminder and alot of people use this site when seeking care. Theale library does a lovely rhyme time session, Wednesday and Thursday it used to be.
Andrea W. replied:
I used Heather Hay Mair. Excellent childminder my son went there as a baby until he started preschool and loved it xx

Another Jubilee Fan here. I drop my daughter off at 7.30, collect at 5.30 but they are open till six. We do also have some great childminders in Burghfield as well. And other nurseries also come highly recommended. I think we are quite lucky to have lots of options in the locality.
Becky L. replied:
Vicki, my children all went to Rainbow Montessori nursery at the Scout hut (opposite Tesco) it’s term time only and offers 9-12, 9-1.30 or, once they qualify for free funded, 9-3. So the times might be restrictive when you go back to work, but quite nice for shorter days whilst you’re at home. Plus Childminders often offer pick up and drop off from preschool, which might work when you’re back at work

I can't recommend Jubilee Gems in padworth highly enough. They are absolutely amazing and my son is so happy there. The facilities they have available to the children are fab. If you go and have a look you will love it.
Lisa H. replied:
My two went to Little Tots Montessori Nursery in Burghfield, they absolutely thrived, what we loved most about the nursery, was every member of staff genuinely cared for the children, it didn't seem like a job to them, and more importantly the children were all integrated and there were no "room changes" which can break vital bonds the children have made with their friends and keyworkers. Their Forest School site is absolutely wonderful too, such an amazing experience for the children, Little Tots were the first to recognise the advantages of Forest School in the area. Their Montessori teaching is second to none too, both mine started school in the top sets and have remained enjoying learning through school. I highly recommend having a look at Little Tots to see what you think.

Julie Bushnell is very good, 3 months isn't too young, it's a better age for the child as they will settle before they reach the separation anxiety stage, it's what you are comfortable with that counts. I am a child minder but don't have any space currently, I much prefer having them start younger:-)
