I'm looking for a restaurant recommendation for lunch with omni relatives. They plan to fly in (3 adults, 1 infant), rent a car at SFO, stop for a quick lunch, and be on...

Gracias Madre is pretty well-loved all vegan (and organic) Mexican in the city. It's pretty close to the freeway. The Plant on the Embarcadero is a lovely space on the water which is nice for tourists. It's a little farther from the freeway, but they'd get a scenic view of the bridge and the Embarcadero as they approached. They'd also probably enjoy the downtown skyline from the Embarcadero locale. It is not an all-vegan place but they do have lots of delicious vegan options and they don't serve red meat. Gather in Berkeley is a little more upscale than those two options. It is a farm-to-table omni place that has vegan options. I haven't been in ages but it always gets a me ruin in these types of lists. One of our SF Vegans, David Selsky, put together a list of Bay Area eateries. Maybe he'll put the link up here for you. I'll probably think of some more after I write this.

My new favorite for mixed vegan - omni (small) groups is Weird Fish in SF. It's pescetarian though, so if the omnis don't like fish, it's probably not worthwhile. Parking might be an issue. A bit pricey, but there are Samovars in many SF neighborhoods, and they have great vegan and non-vegan food, and it's a good place to have a conversation. I used to really like Beretta for their off-menu vegan pizza, but recently it hasn't been good. I wish I knew what cheese they used to use. Not to state the obvious, but many mexican and asian places are good for mixed crowds. Papalote has great vegan options, for instance, although the atmosphere is a bit fast-food-ish. Hope that helps.
