My old boss does great work. He does some weekly maintenance clients, but he prefers landscape construction jobs. He works mainly in Mississauga, with a few properties in Oakville. Not sure if he would go to Burlington - depends on what you want done. Check him out: http://www.leenaars.ca/

For the best prices I would break the job out and get 2-3 quotes on each part. Framing/carpentry, earth work / hard scape and an arborist for the tree removals. There are a lot of university students who do gardening and planting since overheads low. One landscape contractor could provide all of this but your getting the trades labour prices with a mark up. If you can / don't mind coordinating work then you can manage the project yourself and save some money. Having a detailed idea or pictures of what you want helps as this allow for the people bidding to really 'sharpen their pencils'. At a busy time of the year it may be harder to get the best price. August September is generally more competitive as homeowners are on vacation. Unfortunately I have no contacts in Burlington

Yes, I highly recommend Greg Kay (Laura Kay) for your landscaper!! Greg was AWESOME. His professionalism, creativity and fantastic results are amazing. We love our backyard now and spend a lot of time living in our outdoor space. Come by anytime and see for yourself. We had other contractors here and had some bad experiences. Greg renewed our faith in contractors. Did I say he was awesome?? lol
