My friend recommends Linda Contos DVM with Ventana animal clinic as the best - 505-792-3700. Daniel levenson with southwest veterinary clinic is also good. Most of the vets at petroglyph animal hospital are good with birds too.

Liz Fuehr, in the US, you can find board certified avian vets near you by searching here. http://www.abvp.com/diplomate

Here's another link, not necessarily board certified but can use it to find vets that are AAV members. http://www.aav.org/search/custom.asp?id=1803

I use https://www.myvetstore.ca/ very fast shopping and you can set up auto orders!

I had the same issue, I couldn't find a vet-grade delivery but I switched my cat's food to "Nourriture sèche soins urinaires sans grains pour chat stérilisé Oven-Baked Tradition" and get it delivered from Mondou. Delivery is free over $80 and we get the cat litter pelets from there too. He's been on this food for a year and hasn't had any urinary issues since the switch. I know they have similar wet food options if you look in the soins urinaire category.
Hi_I_am_karl replied:
There was the "génie" app at some point which was delivering anything you wanted. Not sure it still existe and if it would expensive here.
Optionsislife replied:
Use Chewy. It’s founded by a Montrealer too!
liopit replied:
I just get a taxi to get back home when I'm tired of carring it by hand. It's just an additionnal 10$ on expensive food anyways.
theninetys replied:
Pointe Vet delivers for $10 in Sud-Ouest and surrounding. They also offer discounts when you buy by the case.
Lemortjoyeux replied:
Mondou has royal canin and Hills. If you do boomerang orders (schedule reoccuring order) you get a discount. I also buy litter from them but you need to be careful about shipping since they will sometimes separate the orders and charge you twice for shipping when you get a lot of heavy things.
Shardstorm88 replied:
Canned tuna? Idk if anything is considered "vet grade pet food" mondou is a good pet store though. Good luck!

My vet (vet Beaubien) has a website that now offers delivery! We order our cats special food from them and it’s at our door in a day or two! It’s been a life saver during COVID!

Male cat that gets a urinary blockage from crystals? One of my boys had that issue. We started feeding him exclusively with whiskas. No issues since. Would have saved a couple of visit to vets over the years if I had known about it.

My cat had urinary problems and I switched him to 1/2 Hill's urinary care and 1/2 wet food. I found the extra moisture in the wet food really helped. He hasn't had a blockage since.
Tophat_Dynamite replied:
I assume your cat has the same problem as mine, but I order my stuff online through my vet. I think there is a 10$ shipping fee, but that's not very much when I only need to order once every 2 months. It probably depends on where abouts you live on which vet store will deliver to you though.
NathalieImbroglio replied:
My vet orders cases for me and calls me when they're in so I can pick them up. So far, it's the best way that works for me. I tried Oven Baked from Mondou for my cat and it sent her creatinine levels through the roof- senior vet food for my girl from now on.
Omnicharge replied:
Go there, buy boxes of food, return in a taxi/Uber. It's like delivery but you can do it yourself.

My vet recommended Royal Canin Urinary SO for my orange guy. I can’t always find it in pet stores but have found it online on Mondou’s site.

The Aldershot vet here on Enfield is actually really good! They don't push things you don't need and they make sure your dog is looked after! And can you bring the puppies over!!!

Looking for a new Vet in Burlington, any recommendations?
Kate C. replied:
I take mine to Fourth Line Animal Hospital which us probably ten minutes at the most from you. They saved my baby kittens when my former vet didn't care whether they lived or died. Dr. Dev is amazing! And they're very reasonable. 905-847-4656

I used to take Shiraz to the Cat Hospital downtown Burlington on Brant St. I would totally recommend them!
two things... anyone know of a great vet in niagara region that is supportive of the raw food diet for dogs? second... any great place to get my oil changed around...
Tece P. replied:
yeah some vets don't support it we had a vet in burlington that did but I didn't like her, and yes were in Thorold now so I gotta come see your cafe for lunch soon! I can't think of the name of our brand but we still buy from Bones Pet Boutique in Burlington
Angela M. replied:
Awesome yes come by the café for sure! We get our food from a place called Big Country Raw, they are out in the boonies in Grimsby area...they use hormone free meat and process/package it all there, and they deliver! We get an amazing deal, check out the 'Big Dog Deal" they have, a great place, it's spotless, and amazing service. As for a vet, try Thorold Vet, we have been there once so far, not fancy by any means, but they don't charge nearly what other vets do, we switched because our vet was a total rip off ;O)

Rather than basing a decision on "might conflict", a call to a expert at a veterinary teaching college or posting in VIN (Veterinary Information Network would provide your vet with info as to whether there are actual incompatibilities between the two m eds. And as Kristen noted, there are natural products that conflict with some meds (e.g. in people, grapefruit shouldn't be consumed with certain meds) and, of course, some natural products can cause problems all on their own. Hemlock tea for example.:-)
