Last year we used a guy named Guy Henning (might be spelled wrong) with a company called the "Brick Kickers". I would definitely recommend him. My understanding is that this company is a franchise, and thus requires its inspectors to pass some sort of test (this is required to be an inspector in other states). This test is not required to be an inspector in VT, so other inspectors may not have taken it.

[Better Home Inspections](http://betterhomeinspectionsvermont.com) was good; he checked out my condo and was pretty thorough.

[ Jeff Belrose from Belrose Home inspection services](http://belrosehomeinspectionservices.com/) was awesome for us. He also does mold remediation so it is nice having someone with that experience looking at the property and looking for issues.

I don't like using large franchises or companies, I used a guy who has been in the industry for 20+ years. He works alone, charges less, and is more through than anyone else you'll find. He inspected a brand new house, and found 3 problems. Guy was a rock star. Vaughn Jipnerhttp://www.angieslist.com/companylist/us/vt/burlington/jipner-home-inspections-reviews-7649121.htm

I used Steve Morse from 4 Seasons Home Inspections. Very nice, very thorough. Huge beard, so that is a plus.
