We took our other dog to Rocky Gorge for an emergency and had a terrible experience there.

I love Dr. Lane, she's the only one I see there.

Fairland Animal Hospital, Dr. Whall and his team are the greatest!! We've been using them since 1998, wouldn't think of taking my furbabies anywhere else!

We had a bad experience with Rocky Gorge, my dog was caged most of the day prior to a minor surgery and was agitated enough to rub her nose raw trying to get out. They didn't even notice her nose was raw when I picked her up. They are also v expensive. We now go to Burtonsville animal hospital and see Dr Tinetti, he is wonderful and not expensive. When it was time for my beloved dog to be put down he came to the house and did it, which meant a lot to me.

Any place you go your going to find positives and negatives. Dr. Tinetti ignored my Intuitions and basically killed my cat. Told me I was paranoid and it was just old age. Time revealed I was right and had he caught it when I took him in he was save able. I have tried several vets, but you have to go with you gut and your interaction. Evey vet win some and loses some. Go with how your animal feels about them. Good luck making a decision, as you can see many opinions available.

Dr Whall at Fairland seems burned out. Doesn't really care so much about the pets. Took my puppy there for a physical and he didn't even look in his ears which were horribly caked with junk! Told me my Shit-zu was "type A" and ruled the house! Really?! Then I took my dog there for a visit and Dr Whall came out to the waiting area and said, "I am so sorry for your loss. We did everything we could." I looked at him like "what r u talking about?!" He had the wrong owner and dog. True story!

Don't go to Fairland. Dr. Whall used to be great but they have a new younger African American man there now who doesn't even do a proper exam. If you go in and they assign that vet to you I'd advise you to just leave.

We have enjoyed Dr. Bob at North Laurel Animal Hospital.

I like Rocky Gorge in Laurel.

We used Dr. Meher at Cloverly Animal Hospital for 15 years but we just lost our dog to old age. I would go back there if we get another dog. Rocky Gorge killed our Silky terrier that we had before the dog we just lost. We brought that dog to Rocky Gorge from an emergency hospital and the girl behind the desk just told us to sign and take a seat. She ignored the fact we had a very ill dog who needed to be put on an IV immediately. When the vets door opened I ran her into the examining room but she had a seizure and died on the table. The stupid girl walked into the room and said "are we disposing of her". I told her to get out of the room if she knew what was best. I wrote to Rocky Gorge and suggested they modified their intake process and respond to a critical situation. I had called head and told them we needed immediate help. They denied I called but I proved it on my cellphone history. This was before they expanded but I still wouldn't take any animal there.

Bonifant Vet clinic.

I've always gone to Cloverly Animal Clinic. It's not a hospital but we've been taking our animals for check ups and non emergency visits over the years and he's great! (6 cats and 5 dogs)
