The canals must be sterilized with a laser, and if available, PAD light therapy. Then, instead of placing gutta percha(contains mercury, toxic, shrinks over time, leaving space for bacteria to enter) as a root canal filler, my recommendation is to use calcium hydroxide as the permanent root canal filling material. Then Grandio Flow from Vicco in Germany, can be used as the protective "crown' on top.
