A friend of mine took her son there and said the Indian lady didn't really seem to know what she was doing. Personally I recommend Dr Karen Anderson just up the road in Palm Cove. She's very experienced, extra gentle and explains everything so well. Really takes her time. Lovely room to with a view, very calming. I can definitely recommend Karen Anderson at Northern Beaches Dental, she has a lovely approach and explains what she's doing and without being pushy or judgemental. Her work is good and you have a great view of the beach.

I have extreme dental phobia too, went this week to Smithfield dental and the lady I had was amazing! She kept thanking me for being so brave. I barely felt a thing and it was fairly quick. I have to go back in a couple of weeks and I'm nowhere near as scared now as I was going in

Dentists I highly recommend Dr Neil Chu Chong at perfect teeth reslych or city as he is great with people who are scared of dentists. I have been a patient of his for about 10 years (different practices) and he is awesome have gone from not being able to have a look in my mouth to now being able to clean it without any hassles and check my teeth over. He works at your pace and has an awesome beside manner, alsi does general anesthesia at the day surgery for those patients who require more treatment but are scared of opening their mouths.

Vernon at Steve King Dental in Manoora at Anderson and Pease St roundabout. I went there yesterday for the first time and he was so laid back and informative and made the whole process seem less of a big deal. He played music as well so it was easy to tune out everything else. Plus, they're really good about letting you pay in instalments if you can't afford to pay upfront for every visit.
Jodi W. replied:
I have a phobia of dentists also. I have found Steve King Dental (near Raintrees) brilliant. I have seen Sarah & Ron (or Roy??). Both brilliant & understanding of my fears.
Christopher G. replied:
Luke Dunn Dental McLeod street is excellent.

At what age should I start taking my toddler to the dentist and recommendations for any good Cairns dentists?

Once my son had cut all of his teeth including his two year old molars then I took him (about 2 years 9 months). We go to Precision Dental near Shell and the Northern Steak House on Mulgrave Road and see Dr Hasi. He is lovely and didnt charge us but we do have private health and he didnt leave a gap payment.

JCU dental are really good they are trained in the healthy teeth program so to be child friendly. Government recommend before 2 for first check up mainly as it gets them used to dentist and they don't freak out if the first appointment is where they have to get something done.

Looking for a podiatrist who deals in orthotics for high arches
And a dentist who has a special interest in periodic gum cleaning
If you have...
Sam S. replied:
My husband saw the foot doctor podiatrist and we are both happy with the result. He has flat feet which also are wide and a funny shape due to a disability bit the foot doctor podiatrist took great care with him and have improved his walking immensely. I see Dr Neil at perfect teeth for my dental care and he is great particularly with fussy and difficult patients (yes I am one who gags a lot and needs extra care) and has great bed side manner. Hope this helps
